Calling All Men to Join the UMM
Now is the time. For 2014, make a commitment to join in God's work through St. Mark's men's ministries. If you are not already part of St. Mark's UMMen, just send a note to Brad Powers at email@example.com or give him a ring at 410-822-7852 and have your name added to our information list.
You can decide if or when to attend meetings, activities, Bible studies, mission projects, or other events, but you won't have that opportunity if we don't know that you are interested. By the way, at each meeting you attend, we ask that you make a contribution of $10.00 to defray our expenses and support our project activities.
Plans are being made for trips to sporting events, educational tours, gospel music shows, and opportunities to meet and discuss topics of interest with other men in the Peninsula-Delaware Conference.
To accommodate as many men as possible, half of our meetings will be on the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM at the church and half will be held on the second Saturday at 8:00 AM for breakfast in room 155 at the Church.
Invite your friends and neighbors, whether they are members of St. Mark's or not. We encourage all men of all ages to become involved in the UMMen.

Please take a moment to get out your calendars and put a hold on Saturday, May3 for the Peninsula-Delaware Conference UMM Annual Spring Gathering in the fellowship hall at St. Mark’s. We are the hosts for what may be one of the most important Gatherings the Conference has ever held.
Greg Arnold, a “deployed staff member of the General Commission on United Methodist Men in Nashville, TN, will be presenting a 4-hour workshop that day entitled, “Engage-Reaching Younger Men”. Not only is this one of our three emphasis for 2014 but it is also one of the largest concerns of all Methodist congregations.
Fellowship opportunities being planned:
Return tour of Poplar Island – Even if you went before, a lot has changed. Don’t miss this opportunity to see the rebirth of a Chesapeake Island.
Chesapeake Bay Fishing Trip
Possible Golf Tournament – considering this as a means to raise funds for debt reduction at the church.
